The problem

Management meetings begin by reconciling figures. Each function maintains its own extract and its own definition of a core measure, so the same question produces different answers depending on who prepared the pack.

Our approach

Core measures are defined once, with named business owners and written definitions. Source data lands in Fabric through a medallion structure, and a shared semantic model is built with row-level security aligned to organisational roles. Reports are built against that model rather than against extracts. Lineage is visible so any figure can be traced to source, and changes to a definition follow a change process rather than a spreadsheet edit.
